Ritchie Coster scares the hell out of us!

Ritchie Coster plays a serial killer on L&O

Law & Order has no shortage of great guest stars and creepy villains. My favorite villain, by far, is serial killer Mark Bruner in the episode “Bodies.” At one point, Bruner tells an atypically quiet Jack McCoy “I’m the un-you.” It’s a terrific line and Bruner follows it up with another zinger: “You can’t take your eyes off me.” He’s right. As played by the gifted actor Ritchie Coster, Bruner is a nightmare personified—terrifying yet grotesquely riveting. We can’t take our eyes off him.

Coster, in various roles, has appeared on several episodes of L&O and SVU, but his most unforgettable character is definitely the sadistic Bruner. He has a clip of the aforementioned scene on his website.

Currently, the actor can be seen on the big screen in Dark Knight playing a Russian mobster and doing a good job of it too. We were surprised and happy to discover Coster in the flick. Keep an eye out for him. Actually, you can’t miss him. As usual, you can’t take your eyes off him. Don’t know what it is but he’s got it.

He’s The Chechen in The Dark Knight that’s how I heard of him.Read my blog and find out on bebo.com. There’s ALOT of pics of him as The Chechen in The Dark Knight. He is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    7. Allan says:

Agreed. Forget Hannibal Lecter, Coster is brilliant as Bruner because he’s believable. They should find a way to resurrect this character in a movie.

    8. Jack Rice says:

Too bad such an old thread, but it’s good to have this page to acknowledge that Ritchie Coster’s Mark Bruner is the greatest portrayal ever of pure menace. He only had a few scenes, but they made the rest of the story disappear, as we sat there, watching, transfixed, just like Jack McCoy.

    9. Fio says:

Jack, I agree with you. Coster’s performance is certainly one of the best portrayals of pure evil I’ve ever seen. He’s riveting on screen. As mentioned earlier, you really can’t take your eyes off him.
